Dana Abbate, Dental Assistant

Dana joined Aesthetic Dentistry of Bernardsville in April, 2004. She is a Certified Dental Assistant, Dental Radiologist and is CPR Certified. Dana is talented and meticulous and very patient friendly. While working together with our Cosmetic Dentists, her ultimate goal is to provide our patients with the utmost care and comfort. She is truly a valuable asset to our Dental Team. Dana understands the needs of every individual patient and treats each as a member of her own family. She has completed courses at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) and regularly attends continuing education courses to enhance her skills. Presently, she is scheduled for an upcoming Registered Dental Assistant exam. She appreciates the importance of neuromuscular reconstructive dentistry and has seen how it helps our patient's live healthier lifestyles with beautiful smiles. Dana enjoys outdoor activities with her husband Chris, and spending time with their family and friends.

Kelly Baker, Registered Dental Hygienist

Kelly has been a hygienist for over 12 years. Since joining us in 2006, she has focused on our periodontal therapy services, as well as continuing her education. Kelly Certified in the use of the Diode Laser for periodontal pocket sterilization and has completed LVI’s Comprehensive Dental Hygiene Program. We are very proud that Kelly is the 59th Hygienist in the state of NJ to obtain her Local Anesthesia permit, which allows patients to have the upmost comfort in their periodontal procedures. In the fall, she plans to complete her internship to become a Certified Myofunctional Therapist. Kelly’s certification will prove to be an invaluable asset in assisting Dr. Patti and Dr. Cheryl in their Orthodontic procedures. When not working in the office or attending courses, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Lynn Granskie, Patient Coordinator

Lynn is our Patient Coordinator and manages our front desk. Lynn’s is the warm smile you see when arriving at our office and then wishing you a great day as you leave. She facilitates patient-office interactions such as scheduling appointments, accepting payment for services and assisting with insurance processing. She assists our Doctors in patient treatment planning and keeps our patients informed of every aspect of their treatment. She is outgoing and friendly and sincerely cares about the comfort of each and every patient. She is well-versed in dental, neuromuscular dentistry, orthodontic, TMJ, cosmetic, whitening procedures and sedation dentistry, and is always available to assist you with any questions you may have about our office. Lynn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending concerts and cooking.

Trudie Madison, Dental Assistant

We are extremely proud to welcome Trudie as the newest member of our dental team. Trudie is certified in Dental Assisting, Dental Radiology, CPR and First Aid. With over nine years of Dental Assisting experience, she enjoys interacting with our patients and making sure all their needs are met. Trudie is truly a key component to our Dental Assisting Department. She understands the significance of neuromuscular dentistry and treatment for sleep apnea to enable our patients to enjoy healthier lifestyles. Trudie enjoys reading, outdoor sports and spending time with family and friends.

Amy Schillinger, Registered Dental Hygienist

Amy is a valued member of our Hygiene Department. She has an extra special touch with children. Amy certified in the use of the Diode Laser for periodontal pocket sterilization. She will join Kelly in the fall to complete her internship for Myofunctional Therapy. Amy is licensed to administer Nitrous Oxide and will complete a course in June on our CEREC technology. Amy enjoys traveling, all kinds of outdoor activities, spending time with friends and family and her dogs, Cubby and Jake.

Our Hygienists

Both Hygienists are CPR Certified and use Magnifying Loupes to aid in their hygiene procedures. They use air powder polishers for effective stain removal. Kelly and Amy use the most current digital x ray technology. In 2010, the practice added a Sirona Orthopos, which enables Panorex, Cephalomex, and Tomographs to be taken, if needed. They enjoy placing Sealants, using the Isolite System to aid in sealant retention and use Intra Oral Cameras to educate their patients. They are experienced in Zoom Whitening, as seen on Extreme Makeover. Kelly and Amy have worked diligently to establish a Hygiene Department that is patient-friendly, comfortable and insures a positive experience.
