Here are a few:

• Diode laser: Introduced in the late 1990s, the diode laser is effective for both periodontal therapy and gum recontouring procedures. This compact laser uses a flexible fiber to transmit the laser energy to the problem area. It works best on soft tissues and can cut very precisely with very little or no collateral damage. Best for very precise procedures, the diode laser can be used a number of times without the need for anesthesia.
• Velscope: This hand-held device is an easy to use oral cancer detection system. It works by emitting a safe blue light into your oral cavity, which excites the molecules in your tissue, causing them to fluoresce. By viewing the different fluorescence responses, our dental team can determine what tissue is normal and what is abnormal. This non-invasive screening is clinically proven to help diagnose the presence of pre-cancerous cells.
• CEREC: This dental restoration machine allows us to produce a ceramic dental restoration in a single visit. This is done through a variety of computer-assisted technologies such as 3D photography, computer-aided drafting (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) systems. Besides the one-appointment convenience, the CEREC machine utilizes the latest software and hardware updates, so that your dental crowns, inlays and onlays and tooth-colored fillings can be prepared using the ceramic material that matches the appearance of your natural teeth.
  
• K7 Evaluation System: This is a highly sophisticated system for diagnosing and treating temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). This system works by collecting data on your jaw movements, muscle activity and jaw sounds to detect how your teeth come together. It can uncover prolonged stress and ultimately uncover exactly how your jaw is misaligned.
• TENS: This electric machine stimulates your jaw and facial muscles, working out the lactic acid in your jaw muscles while working in fresh blood, oxygen, and nourishment. The result is relaxed muscles and a jaw that ends up in its optimal resting position. From here, our dental team can work to create a dental orthotic (bite guard) to train your jaw to maintain this ideal position.
